Laura n'a que 4 ans lorsqu'elle entonne pour la première fois "l'Air des clochettes" de l'opéra Lakmé à l'arrière de la voiture de son père. Encouragée par ce dernier lui-même chanteur, Laura débute la musique et fait ses premiers pas sur scène à l'âge de 8 ans au Théâtre de Limoges. Dès lors, elle enchaine les galas quand elle n'est pas à l'école et sillonne la France les week-ends aux côtés de son père. Elle travaille sa voix avec un professeur de chant lyrique, étudie le piano ainsi que la flûte traversière dans l'école de musique de Cahors, sa ville natale. L'été de ses 11 ans on lui propose d'assurer la première partie du chanteur Christophe puis celle d'un Artiste brésilien en tournée en France, "Nilson Chaves", qui attendri par sa voix lui compose une chanson qu'elle interprète en portugais. Si tôt enregistrée au studio Corydalis de Limoges, Laura s'envole à Rio de Janeiro pour une série de concerts à Mistura Fina, club de jazz et bossa-nova. Elle fait durant ce voyage des rencontres artistiques inoubliables comme celles de Leny Andrade et Gilberto Gil. De retour en France et très marquée par ce voyage, Laura se passionne pour le jazz et les musiques latines. À 15 ans, elle rejoint le Big band de jazz de Cahors en tant que chanteuse soliste. À 18 ans elle étudie le jazz et l'improvisation au Conservatoire de Toulouse avant de s'envoler pour Paris quelques années plus tard. Laura se produit peu à peu dans les clubs de jazz de la capitale et rencontre les musiciens de sa génération dans les jam sessions. Parallèlement, elle développe un intérêt croissant pour la musique classique. En 2012, âgée de 23 ans elle prend un nouveau virage et entre en Cycle DEM de chant lyrique au Conservatoire du 18ème arrondissement dans la classe de Sophie Hervé. Laura ne délaisse pas le jazz pour autant et remporte en 2014 un prix Sacem pour la composition et l'autoproduction d'un premier EP intitulé « Hear my voice ». Avec la complicité du pianiste français Laurent Coulondre doublement récompensé aux Victoires de la musique jazz, elle enregistre en 2015 un album de compositions et de standards revisités intitulé « Secret Facet ». La même année elle forme son quartet et remporte le premier prix du concours « Jazz à Vannes » puis se voit dans les 10 finalistes du concours « Shure Montreux Jazz Voice », expérience qui lui vaut notamment la rencontre avec Al Jarreau parrain du concours. En 2018, en partenariat avec le festival Jazz in Marciac, Laura se lance dans l’écriture d’un spectacle musical pour le jeune public, mêlant ses deux passions : « Madame Classique et Mister Jazz ». Le spectacle est programmé sur les scènes de la Philharmonie de Paris, Jazz in Marciac, Wolfi Jazz festival,Théâtre de Compiègne, Nîmes métropole jazz Festival... En 2021, elle co-réalise avec Laurent Coulondre un album Latin Jazz intitulé "Meva Festa" (+ d'1 million de streams) en tant qu’interprète, compositrice et directrice artistique. Ils se produisent ensemble sur les scènes du Nice Jazz Festival, Jazz en ville Vannes, Jazz à Foix... En 2022, elle rejoint l'Opéra studio de la ville de Bourges « La Fabrique Lyrique » pour une année de formation sous la direction de Jean-Francis Monvoisin (ténor), Catherine Van Hecke, François de Carpentries (metteurs en scène) et Sophie Hervé (soprano). En 2024, Laura rejoint l'Ensemble baroque I Gemelli, Emiliano Gonzalez Toro (Ténor) et Mathilde Etienne (DA) pour l'enregistrement des Vêpres de Claudio MONTEVERDI suivi d'une série de concerts en France et à l'étranger (Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Victoria Hall Genève, Palau de la musica Catalana Barcelone, Grand Théâtre de Provence ...)
Actuellement Laura compose pour d'autres artistes et travaille sur la création d'une formation hybride mêlant Jazz et musique baroque "Baroque Playground" qui verra le jour en juin 2026 au Festival de Froville. Laura was only four years old when she first sang the famous “Bell Song” from the opera Lakmé in the back seat of her father’s car. Encouraged by her father, himself a singer, Laura began studying music and made her stage debut at the age of eight at the Limoges Theatre. From then on, whenever she was not at school, she performed in galas and traveled across France on weekends alongside her father. She trained her voice with a classical singing teacher and studied both piano and flute at the music school in Cahors, her hometown.
During the summer when she was eleven, she was invited to open for the singer Christophe, followed by Brazilian touring artist Nilson Chaves. Moved by her voice, he composed a song for her, which she performed in Portuguese. Shortly after recording it at Corydalis Studio in Limoges, Laura flew to Rio de Janeiro for a series of concerts at Mistura Fina, a jazz and bossa nova club. During this trip, she had unforgettable artistic encounters with artists such as Leny Andrade and Gilberto Gil. Deeply influenced by the experience upon returning to France, Laura developed a passion for jazz and Latin music.
At fifteen, she joined the Cahors Jazz Big Band as lead vocalist. At eighteen, she studied jazz and improvisation at the Toulouse Conservatory before moving to Paris a few years later. Little by little, Laura began performing in the capital’s jazz clubs and meeting musicians of her generation through jam sessions. At the same time, she developed a growing interest in classical music.
In 2012, at the age of twenty-three, she took a new direction and entered the DEM program in classical voice at the 18th arrondissement Conservatory in Paris, studying under soprano Sophie Hervé. Laura nevertheless continued her work in jazz and, in 2014, won a SACEM award for the composition and self-production of her first EP, Hear My Voice.
In collaboration with French pianist Laurent Coulondre, a two-time winner at the Victoires du Jazz awards, she recorded in 2015 an album of original compositions and revisited standards entitled Secret Facet. That same year, she formed her quartet and won first prize at the “Jazz à Vannes” competition, before being selected among the ten finalists of the “Shure Montreux Jazz Voice” competition, an experience that notably led to her meeting Al Jarreau, patron of the contest.
In 2018, in partnership with the Jazz in Marciac festival, Laura began writing a musical show for young audiences combining her two passions: Madame Classique et Mister Jazz. The show has since been presented at prestigious venues and festivals including the Philharmonie de Paris, Jazz in Marciac, Wolfi Jazz Festival, Théâtre de Compiègne, and Nîmes Métropole Jazz Festival.
In 2021, together with Laurent Coulondre, she co-produced the Latin jazz album Meva Festa (with over one million streams), serving as performer, composer, and artistic director. They performed together at festivals such as the Nice Jazz Festival, Jazz en Ville Vannes, and Jazz à Foix.
In 2022, she joined the Bourges Opera Studio “La Fabrique Lyrique” for a year-long training program under the direction of tenor Jean-Francis Monvoisin, stage directors Catherine Van Hecke and François de Carpentries, and soprano Sophie Hervé.
In 2024, Laura joined the baroque ensemble I Gemelli alongside tenor Emiliano Gonzalez Toro and artistic director Mathilde Etienne for the recording of Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers, followed by a series of concerts in France and abroad, including performances at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, and the Grand Théâtre de Provence.
Currently, Laura is composing for other artists and working on the creation of a hybrid ensemble blending jazz and baroque music, Baroque Playground, which will premiere in June 2026 at the Froville Festival. She will also soon appear as a guest artist on a tribute album dedicated to an artist she deeply admired for his genius, Hermeto Pascoal, who passed away last year.
